We’ll review the most common reasons for a refrigerator ice maker not dispensing ice from warm freezer temperatures to ice maker jams.

Freezer Temperature is Too High

When you find your ice maker not making ice we first suggest checking the freezer temperature. If it’s above 10°F, the ice maker may not be able to effectively produce ice. Ideally, the freezer temperature should be between 0-5°F for optimal ice production.

If your freezer is set at the right temperature but still feels too warm, the following issues may be responsible:
